Jon McNeal is a photographer and architect based in San Francisco, CA.
In addition to his work in art photography, Jon has led many renowned cultural and civic projects as an architect and construction leader including the San Francisco Museum of Art Expansion with Snøhetta, and the California Academy of Sciences with Renzo Piano Building Workshop in San Francisco, among many others. He has uniquely deep experience in both high-profile design projects and construction administration, giving him an extensive real-world knowledge of material systems. He pairs this with a collaborative, curiosity-driven approach to mentor project teams on processes and documentation, helping prioritize efforts, set expectations, and facilitate communication.
